Albert Soltanov is a nuanced and profound artist, dedicated from the beginning of his career to capturing the beauty of his homeland and its history at a high professional level. His work continues and enriches the
traditions of Russian art, with its careful attention and reverence for the surrounding world and respect for the experiences
of past generations. In his landscapes, A.Soltanov does not merely reproduce what
he sees; his paintings are not simple depictions of reality, but rather a philosophical
reflection on it.
Soltanovs works are housed in several prestigious collections, including the
Mytishchi Art Gallery, the Mytishchi Museum of History and Art, the Pavlovo-
Posad Exhibition Hall Shirokovs House and the museum-reserve Island-City
Sviyazhsk His paintings are also part of private collections in Russia and abroad.
He regularly holds solo exhibitions in Moscow and other Russian cities and
participates in various artistic exhibitions, including regional and national shows.
Recent examples include his participation in the All-Russian Art Exhibition Faces
of Victory (2023) at the Central Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists of Russia.
Albert Soltanovs work has been highlighted in numerous federal and

magazine, Pravmir, Orthodoxy.ru, and Rodniki. He is a First Prize laureate of the
Viktor Popkov Art Competition (2017).
A.Soltanov's interests extend beyond easel painting to monumental art,
including church murals, and both secular and ecclesiastical mosaics. Among his
projects are the mosaics of the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin
Mary in the village of Zhestylyovo, Dmitrovsky District (where he served as
project leader), contributions to the restoration of the Koloss; fountain at VDNH,
and work on the mosaics of the Church of Saint Sava in Belgrade, Serbia—one of
the largest contemporary monumental mosaic projects. Currently, he is working on
the interior mosaic decoration of the Church of St. Spyridon of Trimythous in
Koptovo, Moscow.
Albert Soltanov has received numerous awards, including a letter of
gratitude from the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation (2023), as well as
acknowledgments and diplomas from the Union of Artists of Russia (2016, 2023),
the Russian Academy of Arts (2018, 2019, 2020), and the Minister of Culture of
the Moscow region (2021).
In addition to his artistic practice, Soltanov is actively involved in cultural
and community work. He regularly serves as the chair of the expert commission of
the Ministry of Culture of the Moscow region, assessing and granting titles such as
Peoples and Exemplary to local art studios. He is also a member of juries for
art competitions in the Moscow region and plays a significant role in the Moscow
Regional Branch of the All-Russian Creative Public Organization "Union of Artists
of Russia," where he helps select new members.
His works have been featured on book covers, such as Ulyana Menshikovas
About Everything (Alavastr, 2018), Natalia Sukhininas Lucky Zinaida (Alavastr,
2019), and Not Arguing with Anyone (2023). Soltanov is not only a regular
participant in exhibitions but also actively engages with various audiences, sharing

He emphasizes the enduring relevance of its traditions in todays world.
Nowadays the artist lives in the town of Mytishchi (a cozy town in the
Moscow region) with his wife and three children. He continues to paint and make
mosaics simultaneously to his work as a tutor for young artists in his art studio.
